MY THOUGHTS ABOUT PROJECT GHANA 2015:

I have travelled around the world and visited many countries whilst working and holidayiing – but I have never been to central Africa! To be given the opportunity to take a youth group is the highlight of this year.

When I was asked to be part of the team going to Ghana I was so excited! Soon after we had recruited all the young people, we started gelling together as a team, helping each other with fundraising events which varied from quiz nights, stalls at events, concerts, bag packing, dinners, cake sales (just to name a few) it really brought the team together.

With not long to go, all the team are having their final injections, and sourcing mosquito nets, repellents and travel pillows, we are almost ready to go! All the visas have been issued and travel to the airport in London is booked; all that is left is the final fundraising (still some more needs doing) and we’ll be ready for the biggest leg of Project Ghana. Bring on Ghana!!!
